MEETING A NEED
In our community, women face unimaginable challenges in accessing maternal healthcare, resulting in alarmingly high rates of maternal and infant mortality. Many women walk over four hours to reach the nearest maternity hospital, and tragically, many do not survive the journey.
To address this critical need, we are building a maternity hospital that will provide essential healthcare services to expectant mothers and their newborns.

HOSPITAL POTENTIAL
This facility will be a beacon of hope for the community, providing a close, safe, and nurturing environment for mothers and their babies featuring:
• 40 Women Capacity
• 4 Labor & Delivery Rooms
• Surgical Center for C-Sections
• Prenatal & Postnatal Care
• Neonatal Care
• Family Planning Education -
HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION
The new Maternity Hospital is being built on the same property as the successful Chipande Medical Clinic, already serving around 4,760 patients per month. This new 9,400 sq. ft. facility will expand the reach of care for the community! Our dream is to complete construction in the Fall of 2026.
Phase 1 is already underway, with the foundations poured and ready for framing!

FUNDING GOAL
This Christmas season, our goal is to raise $45,000 to complete phase 1 of the construction of the Maternity Hospital - helping ensure mothers experienced safe deliveries and babies begin life with a healthy, brighter future.
2025 Collectable Ornament
Each year, we design a new handcrafted ornament made in Malawi. This year’s ornament features a tiny baby footprint, symbolizing one precious life saved.
Please consider helping us reach our goal by contributing $30. As a thank you, you will receive this year’s ornament and post card, a reminder that your gift brought new life into the world. Every $30 donation represents one safe delivery, saving the lives of both mothers and babies.
