Local Partnerships
Working alongside Malawian communities to put faith into action.
It Starts with Listening
We begin by asking local leaders what their communities need and what they want to build together. Churches, schools, police, and government partners each bring knowledge and experience to that conversation. Akonda comes alongside them with practical resources and support as they lead the work.
What We Work On Together
We partner with Malawian pastors and churches as they share the hope of Jesus and serve their neighbors. We help put Bibles into people’s hands and support local outreach in villages and prisons.
Churches & Discipleship
Local leaders know which improvements would make the biggest difference in daily life. We work with them on projects such as repairing wells, improving roads and bridges, and finishing a police unit so officers can serve nearby communities.
Community Projects
We work with schools to improve learning spaces and help students stay in class. That can mean providing school supplies, supporting preschools, or creating private changing rooms so girls can manage their periods with dignity at school.
Schools & Education
When flooding or food shortages leave families in urgent need, we work with local partners to get food and supplies to those affected. Those relationships help us reach families and understand what they need as they recover.
